Teacher Training FAQ

We will not be offering make-up sessions; however, we will record the session so that you can watch and catch up prior to the next session. We can also offer 1:1 time with Amanda at an additional fee to review any missed material or questions.

You will coordinate observation hours with the other trainees to ensure you do not disrupt the class that’s in session.

These hours will be broken down the following way:
Hours 1 - 10 Complimentary In-Studio Hours (based on mutual availability)
Maximum 2 Clients
Hours 16 - 90 Apprentice Teaching
Once you’ve completed 10 Practice Teach Hours, you are required to schedule an Observation Session with an Elevate Instructor.
This can be a limited class or a full class.
This Is complimentary for the clients attending.
You may have up to 10 Observations / Complimentary Classes prior to becoming an Apprentice Teacher.
Once approved, you will become an Apprentice Teacher - meaning all practice teaching, subbing, and scheduled classes would be paid at $35 per class. Your friends & family can take advantage of the Apprentice Class Packs during this time.

The 25% discount is available for 99 days after the conclusion of the last workshop day - you may use it for any class packages (not memberships).

No! The weekend sessions / modules are in-person so these will be hosted on the scheduled weekends.
However, the required hours (group class, observation, & practice hours) are all self-paced. You can take as long as you need to complete the hours - you can begin tracking these hours after your first weekend session. Once you've completed all of the hours is when you would test out for your certification.

Whether you have just begun your Pilates journey or have been practicing for years, our program will guide you step by step. You must have completed at least 15 reformer classes prior to the start of the program.

Of course, I can definitely set this up for you if you're interested. We have instructors who have completed the program via Elevate, and several that are currently completing their hours so I'm happy to connect you to different people!

As mentioned, we cannot guarantee a position at Elevate, but it is always our goal. We LOVE to incorporate (and try to prioritize) our trainees on our schedule. We have several instructors currently on our schedule who went through the Elevate Teacher Training Program.

Once you've completed the Teacher Training (5 Weekend Modules + Required Hours - Observation, Self-Practice, & Practice Teaching / Apprentice Hours),
The certification exam consists of the following:
Written Exam
Multiple Choice & Open-Ended Questions
Practical Exam
Conduct Private 1:1 Session
You will be provided with a list of exercises.
Conduct Group Reformer Class

The certification is a Contemporary Reformer Certification and it would allow you to instruct at other studios and different cities
