FAQ (REFORMER CLASSES)

  • We typically suggest that our new clients start with our Lengthen & Lift class. We welcome clients of all levels into all of our classes. Our studios are very intimate - we have 9 reformer machines at our uptown studio & 10 reformer machines in the downtown location. The smaller class size allows our instructors the opportunity to give individual attention to everyone. Our instructors offer modifications and advancements throughout class. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to meet the instructor and become acquainted with the reformer.

  • Pilates is perfectly safe and beneficial throughout all stages of pregnancy. All of our classes are prenatal friendly and our instructors will offer modifications accordingly. Check out our Pre & Post Natal section for more information and other pre & postnatal specific offerings.

  • The frequency of your Pilates practice depends on your personal goals and schedule. For optimal results, we recommend attending classes at least 2-3 times per week. Consistency is key to seeing progress and experiencing the full benefits of Pilates.

  • For Reformer classes, grippy, non-slip socks are required for safety and hygiene. If you don’t have a pair, no worries—we have them available for purchase at both studio locations. Beyond that, just bring water and yourself. We’ll take care of the rest.

FAQ (INFRARED HEATED CLASSES)

  • YES! You’re able to use your current membership or class package to book reformer, EXO chair, or mat classes.

However, we do have separate mat specific class packs available if you prefer to keep your credits separate.

  • All mat classes are located at our downtown studio (300 Clinton Street) on the 3rd floor.

  • We have mats available in-studio, but since things can get a little sweaty, you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer. We also recommend bringing a towel - you're welcome to bring one from home, or we have them available for purchase at the studio for $3.

  • Grip socks are not required for heated mat classes. We do still require grip socks for all reformer & chair classes, as well as unheated mat classes.

  • We love our mamas, but our heated mat classes are not open to our prenatal clients. You are more than welcome to join any of our unheated mat classes.
